About 17 years ago I went to a technology symposium in San Jose at a college. They had the Neuralink technology (which Musk bought the company) and they had a sensor that was placed around my head like a visor in appearance. It's technology was to pick up alpha waves and convert it to actions. They had a screen where simple graphics created a block to move over a simulated distance. Anyone could try it. They were a little surprised that I was able to move it so fast and farther than anyone before. I guess I had the right kind of concentration, plus I had dealt with similar experiments. Point being they didn't have to drill into my head and connect a permanent device to my brain. I'm an engineer and extremely open to technology but I think Musk is going too far on this one. I don't want a thing attached to my brain. I know that anything can be hacked. And even if this is a data out only device today, some day they'll make it both ways. Not interested. Only a fool would be. I've seen thoughts transformed to actions personally, so I don't need an implant. I think in this case Musk is off his rocker. Every project he does can't all be golden and he's been stress blipping lately.
