What exactly is prestigious about trading on the back of people and working 16-hour days to fill the pockets of oneself and your boss?
Hello, I have a question. As GS is top notch company in the finance, do you think that brand name helps you to get a job in FAANG? Thank you.
Community Teamworks is the "give back to the community" initiative. You would have be required to perform an activity such as cleaning someplace, painting.
Oh those are the quants… the pressure they get though. That’s millions to billions on your data skills.
Comparison is the thief of joy, funny how you are in a prestigious firm and you constantly compare to people
Sounds like the recruiter trying to tell me Goldman Sachs is a technology based company is trying to bs me… I'm probably not going to leave Cap One then
Would be a shame if they lost billions in a short squeeze. 🤭

Come on definitely Amazon .
At least it's a product + service company
Can you please tell me what kind of mic you are using ???? Your voice it really Crystal clear 😊
Lol that’s just the finance industry in general.
That is so accurate, that's how I feel at my current job.
Everyone wants to be appreciated. If you come in and people that are on your level…that start at the same time you do…and aren't any better than you get promoted or special treatment, it's not fair. In a work environment, your status should depend on your merits. Feeling unappreciated is terrible and clearly that was their culture from the beginning. You took a more mature/accurate stance by decided not to work there than your peers likely did. Good job. Also, it sounds like you realized that women are super social relative to men in general, so you were able to take your needs into account which is amazing. Most people are just enslaved by their job and suffer.
MIENTRAS TANTO, ANALISTAS FINANCIERO DEL TERCER MUNDO VIENDO COMO LA JERARQUIA ES JUSTO AL REVES
I don't honestly understand what attracts employees to companies that perform so poorly that they need injections of tax payer money to survive. It's doesn't make sense.
How many hours a week did you have to work? Was there pressure to work past the hours they set?
4:58 oh my the horror
This happens all around the world , so sad
I only listen the video up to 1:27, and i think you should do amazon data science; but lets continue, perhaps i m wrong
Yeah, I hear ya … I also hated the big stipend, great perks, fancy workplace and the prestige…
really valuable and interesting
but please, fix your audio
hey, I love your vids! Can you please do one about your UPenn IT experience 🙂
Been there I choose my job based on prestige now I hate it and I am working to change career
amazon: no one reached out, gs: everyone called. yea, bc the inferior product relies more on marketing.
You're a G!
You're a G!
Can a data analyst become management consultant later in their career path?
I'm sure that Hitler Youth were just as excited as you to go to work for the Nazi party.
Who cares about prestige, what's the pay difference of these different groups I wonder
"I assume that it's the people that care about prestige that do. Again, not gonna lie, back then I cared a lot more about prestige because I was a lot more insecure about my abilities and didn't really know what to do with my life. So prestige was a way to prove to myself and others that I was doing well."
You aptly put into words something I, and a lot of other people, are facing but can't seem to realise completely (or maybe don't want to). Thank you for being honest with us, being transparent and mindful about yourself like that is not only difficult but requires humility. I don't doubt that some people in Goldman really love the work that they do and don't mind the hierarchy, but you've confidently said it's fine to say no to a prestigious job simply because you think it's not for you. I could never pull myself to do that because I care too much about reputation and prestige. I should be myself and live my life for myself, not for others. Your confidence and mindfulness is infectious and acted as a push for me. Confidence is not the guarantee of your ability but your willingness to try. I will dare to fail from now on and take it easy. Thank you very much Tina!
Dang.. i am getting ready for my gs summer internship and now i am kind of afraid haha regardless, was there a lot of competition in ur team to get return offers?
Lucky enough to work in tech and front office in an investment bank. Now in the buy side in a front office role. To anyone thinking about it, don't go into tech at a bank. It's a dead end job from the start. Either work for a company local to you or if you're going to move to a big city, try and get into a buy side firm, or just a tech company.
Im 17 and recently received an offer to do an internship at Goldman Sachs during the summer. Is it worth it?
I don't think I have ever heard someone who had an internship at Goldman Sachs say a good word about it. My son was aiming at this and changed his mind thank god.
This is everywhere lmaoooooiiioii, unless you work as a waiter
The only way also to make this huge cmpanies pay for thi behaviours is to parasite them in every possible way unitl they fire you (if u dont see a carrer path in there, that is).
Tina, just read your short blurb. Would you mind sharing why you thought you would make a terrible doctor? Thanks!
FYI, the prestige thing has a dialect called corporate simping
